Here comes Artista di Merda
with HyperReal FUCK INSIDE VIRTUAL
It's OUT, Motherfuckers... and is not even real, it's HyperReal.
Do Artificial Intelligences Dream of Electric New Age Hyper Pop Music?
"... a record of Post-modern Virtual Hyper-Real Cool Jazz posing with the cool detachment of the Velvet Underground."
Excerpts from the album review by G.P.T. Williams:
In a world increasingly blurred between the tangible and intangible, HyperReal F*** INSIDE VIRTUAL bursts onto the scene as an audacious, genre-defying statement of the postmodern age. This album, described as "Postmodern Virtual HyperReal Cool Jazz" WAT?!... It’s as though Herbie Hancock, Vangelis and Oneohtrix Point Never stumbled into a VR chatroom curated by a sentient AI DJ composing complex twisted Hyper Pop in seconds.
Tracks oscillate between smooth, lounge-like melodies, fusion-Jazz, corporative music, vaporwave or bursts of hypnagogic drones and lofi New Age; mirroring the dichotomy of serenity and overstimulation in the Hyper-Real. The brilliance of the album lies in its ability to meld high-concept ideas with irresistible grooves. The lyrics —fragmented, recursive, and at times disorienting — echo the Ethos of Hyper-reality > The simulation becomes more real than the real.
The refrain in the Single(s): “Deeper connected online / I saw your face; you saw mine,” feels almost tragic in its simplicity, juxtaposing digital proximity against physical absence. The chorus—“Hyper-real f** inside virtual”*—is not just provocative but emblematic of the album’s thematic heart. It simultaneously critiques and celebrates the ways we project intimacy into digital spaces. The repetition of this mantra-like phrase builds an almost liturgical energy, further amplified by layers of vocoder, autotune and synth harmonics.
This is not an album for passive listening. It demands your attention, challenging you to navigate its layers of sound, irony and meaning. HyperReal F*** INSIDE VIRTUAL is a kaleidoscopic exploration of what it means to exist in an era where the boundaries between the physical and the digital, the real and the hyper-real, have all but dissolved. Whether it leaves you exhilarated, disoriented, or simply contemplative, one thing is clear: HyperReal F*** INSIDE VIRTUAL is an album that dares to ask, “What does it mean to be human when the virtual feels more alive than the real?”
